"The BRAKE PEDAL - is the most important pedal to drive fast!" (Prosim)
Our brain remembers the muscle power it used last time. Whether using a potentiometer or Loadcell, the brain must know what pedal pressure it carries. It is therefore essential that you achieve a good slowdown, as late and as safely as possible.
"With this we mean we can use both Loadcell pedal, or potentiometer. But it does not help at all - unless the pedal pressure you get in response, will give your brain "Readable Brain Feeding (read data)".
* INFO: This is the hard type. Thus, it works progressively all the way, and it does not "bend it off" but gives you the progressively harder pedal as you brake harder.
This entry is stored in your memory and you quickly become aware of where you have the pedal at all times. IF the conical fashion would be bent off, you would experience a rubbery resilient ending.
This brake mode gives you a direct feel where your brake pressure is getting harder.
Brake pedal is importante
The brake must get the absolute latest time. This is not always easy when to run at peak performance. But brakes are essential both when driving fast laps in qualifying, innhententing and of course the races. With a random brake pedal which pedal just bottoms or spring, you know that you have more to pick up with effective braking.
It is important to pick up time where one can, and it is frequently the front-running struggle with braking area. Here it is easy to overtake the competition and not least to get a good output for a controlled braking.
The brake is important in all matters.
The brake must be firm and give you a concrete feedback that you can brake effectively. The last millimeters are important, if you use load cell or not. It is nevertheless totally dependent on FEELING the pedal. It must give you a feeling that makes you the greatest extent possible know exactly how much you brake to avoid a blockage - but simultaneously braking as late and as hard as possible.
Well worth the money. Easy to install.
To be mounted in the original/supplied breake bracket from Thrustmaster.
The original TM brake mod is a rubber gum with a spring mounted in the middle.
- It is too soft, and providing a resilient and imprecise brake feel
- This even gets worse with the time, and will brake during use. It is rubber, and is glued together in several layers.
Note: Bracket not included (use the original Thurstmaster))
